Under 12 Girls win Limerick Futsal League
Aisling Annacotty Girls won the LWSSL U12 Futsal league beating Corbally 2-1 in the final. The competition was run over 6 weeks with the playoffs taking place on Saturday April 24th in Ard Scoil Ris. The girls were unbeaten throughout the tournament but faced their toughest test against a very well organised Corbally side in the final. Having gone down by an early goal they fought hard and got a goal back through Sarah Shortt after an excellent one touch passing movement involving 5 players that broke the Corbally defense. The match was very keenly contested with both teams looking for the win. Eventually Aisling Doyle made the breakthrough, reacting quickest to a rebound to score a late winner.
All the girls played really well and many thanks to the LWSSL organising committee for a great tournament.
