The match started with Connelly dominating the first 20 mins. Aisling Annacotty settled into the match and started to show their talents. A number of missed chances by the forwards Sarah Shortt, Aoife Hogan and Caroline Crotty showed the promise of what was to be a well played out second half.At half time it was nil all thanks to the solid performance from the back line of Kate Feeney, Caoimhe Lyons, Eimer Hartigan and Sarah Khan. With five minutes of the second half gone Megan Foley finally scored a well deserved goal. The pressure was applied and a second goal by Caroline Crotty soon followed. Connelly applied more pressure but the back line defense held firm and the goalie Laura Phelan took care of any loose balls. The midfield team of Susan Crotty,Kate Cosgrave, Jennifer Cummins and Jane Clohessy worked well . In the last ten minutes a third goal by Sarah Shortt sealed a well deserved victory . Well done to a very young u14 team.
