Athenry 2 Galway Hibs 1
Athenry won their third Connaught Junior Cup title when they overcame a gallant Galway Hibs side in the 2009/10 final at Terryland Park.
Athenry took took the lead after 20 minutes with a goal from Cathal Fahy. Hibs got a cracker of an equaliser some 10 minutes later to leave the scores level at half time.
A goal from Forde in the second minute of the second half secured the title for Athenry despite having to defend for the last 20 minutes with 10 men.
